Introduction

 

In the year 2001, Yasir Khan started a journey toward making music in Saudi Arabia holding his guitar. A young composer and writer play classic, rock, metal and blues. Now working as AATISH means (fire or flame) on their first album. Yasir moved to Dubai in 2002 for studies and to explore more in the field of music. Through extensive efforts, Aatish was formed in 2003 when Wajahat and Hassan coined up with Yasir.  The wonderful vocals by Wajahat Ali Khan and Hassan Fayaz are the strong base for the band. Wajahat, an amazing and powerful vocalist have recently recorded 4 brand new tracks with Yasir Khan in Karachi. After performing various gigs in Dubai, Nathaniel Ephraim Joseph (Neil) was introduced to the band where with just one drum solo performance he took away the crowd and made a permanent place in Aatish. Last but not least, Faisal  Iqbal, an experienced Percussionist, being on and off with Aatish since last 6 years. He makes people jump up from the seats with his rocking beats. He became a strong pillar of Aatish in recent years.

Anecdotes

 

Aatish got a big break in 2005 when they performed along side many big names in Battle of the Bands in Dubai. Aatish then moved to Karachi for records and released a video of their title song “Sawera” which was aired on various TV channels. Few songs from Aatish debut album hit the radio channels in Pakistan first time in 2006 till date. Currently the band is travelling and finalizing the debut album in Karachi.

Melodies

 

Sawera, written and composed by Yasir Khan, refers to the rise of something pristine coming up. Evidently, this song enunciates the time when anticipation is lost and you still have the prospect of perceiving a new shine of light in your life. The wonderful vocals by Wajahat & Hassan in Sawera have made a place in listener’s hearts. Sawera does not make you feel gloomy at all at any time; instead it encourages you to wait for the time when flamboyant moments hit your life. Over all, this song is marvelous and full of hopes.

Aankhein, another work by Yasir, is a melodious track recorded and released in 2006 as the first song by Aatish. Wajahat has done a marvelous job through his melodious vocals in the song Aankhein. There is lot more to come
